OBTAINMENT OF PURE WATER AT UMBUL JUMPRIT - Temanggung Regency

This ceremony is a chain of the Waicak commemoration at Candi Mendut and Borobudur. Initiated with taking pure water from Umbul Jumprit spring by Buddhist monks representing Sangha of Indonesia. Henceforth, the pure water is carried out in procession for religious ceremony purposes which takes place in Mendut Temple. The water after being blessed, then to be distributed to visitor. Jumprit is situated about 26 km away from Temanggung Town on the route of Temanggung-Parakan-Ngadirejo

OBTAINMENT OF ETERNAL FIRE - Grobogan Regency

The day before the Waicak commemoration held by Buddhist followers at Borobudur Temple, there is pre-ceremony of taking eternal fire from its eternal source at tourist site name "Api Abadi Mrapen" at Manggarmas village, Sub District of Godong, Grobogan Regency about 27 kms to the west of Purwodadi. The eternal fire itself is used for religious ceremony purposes which takes place in Mendut Temple. The obtainment of eternal fire is carried out by Buddhist Monks by first holding religious offering early in the morning. Afterward, the fire is marched in procession of cars to Magelang.
